Lots of change at the top over the weekend, with Backrooms, the #1 for the last couple of weeks, gone from the podium positions.
Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day opened on 109 screens, taking the top spot with a $581,273 weekend, for $625,958 including previews.
Opening at #2, Scary Movie played 84 and earned $374,435.
Obsession dropped into the #3 spot, taking $327,535 from 54 screens and lifting its gross to $1,841,416.
The third title to end its opening weekend in the top ten was Korean zombiesque title Colony, which took $71,509 from 28 screens.
Outside the top ten, Caterpillar added $11,099 from 38 screens, for a total to date of $330,051.
On 19 screens, The Time Travellers Guide to Hamilton Gardens took $4,721 and now has $183,948, but looks as though it will fall short of the $200K mark.
Tenor: My Name is Pati played 6 screens, took $2,156 and now has $1,126,755.
Sgt. Haane took $1,678 from 14 screens, and now has $281,935 in total earnings.
No Tears on the Field had single screen outing, earning $870 to push its take to $55,790
On 6 screens, Moss & Freud added $538 for $14,307.
Openers this week include Toy Story 5 and, fresh from Sydney Film Festival, Aussie horror Leviticus.
