Box Office report: 27 August 2023

Over last weekend, Sound of Freedom pushed Barbie out of the top spot, playing 101 screens and taking $436474. 

Now in its sixth week, Barbie continued on 112 screens, adding $429,317 to lift its gross to $13,371,585 and place second.

Like Barbie, Oppenheimer dropped one spot to #3, playing on 108 screens, adding $273,045 to gross $6,221,439. 

Last weekend, half the top ten titles were new arrivals, with openings for André Rieu 2023 Maastricht Concert, Mastaney, Retribution, Dream Girl 2 and The First Slam Dunk.

Coco Reo Maori played two screens, taking $1,054 to grow its total take to $241,045.
