Unless you’ve been in orbit without an internet connection for six months, you’ll have noticed that we’re living in a rather special time. AI is very obviously changing everything and doing so rapidly. But there are some other aspects of the creative industries that we need to look at because we are at another kind of inflexion point, and it’s one that is less shouty than AI.
When RedShark started in 2012, we couldn’t have picked a better time. We didn’t know it then, but it was as if a silent starting gun had just signalled the start of a race for better quality digital cameras, more pixels and more dynamic range. What differentiated progress in the 2010s from the 2000s was that digital cinema had become a thing.
