NZ On Screen – Tuesday Spotlight: RANGI’S CATCH

Starring a 13-year-old Temuera Morrison in his first screen appearance, and a young Ian Mune, this 1973 feature was originally funded in the UK as an eight-part TV series. The film follows Rangi (Morrison) and three friends, as they embark on adventures near their remote Marlborough Sounds farm. Two robbers (Mune and Michael Woolf) turn up to steal food and the scene is set for the crims and kids to chase each other all the way to Rotorua.
