At #2, Superman also held its position, earning $209,870 to push past $3m for a gross of $3,074,865.
FI The Movie climbed back into third, taking $168,118 for a total of $4,454,373.
Now at #15, Tinā played on 19 screens, taking $19,494 for total earnings of $6,474,350.
Doco The House Within, took $3,248 and now has $37,158.
Kōkā took $1,056 from 15 screens and has now earned $236,642.
On a single screen, The People We Love $1,046 and has now earned $44,519.
Marlon Williams: Ngā Ao E Rua – Two Worlds, absent last weekend, took $77 and has now grossed $229,219.
M3gan2.0 also returned, after not playing during the previous weekend, adding $32 for $200,930.
Titles opening this week include horror/thriller Weapons, and Freakier Friday, with Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan and a considerable number of other Freaky Friday cast members returning for a taste of the sequel – over 20 years on from the original.
