Opening in the top spot over the weekend, Red One kicked off its run on 108 screens and taking $302,700.
Venom: The Last Dance dropped to #2, playing 88 screens and adding $196,913 for a total of $1,572,939. At #3, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 played on 49 screens, adding $130,365 to lift its gross to $429,058.
Doco Sharko played 23 screens, taking $5,591 over the weekend for a total of $11,621.
Down in the lower depths of the chart, all four remaining NZ titles currently on release are heading for the ends of their runs. A Mistake added $271 for $112,783; Encanto Reo Maori took $197 to total $227,679; We Were Dangerous earned $136 for $640,117*; and Bookworm took $27 to gross $466,112.
Titles opening this week include Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II and Lucy Lawless’ Never Look Away.
