The Big Screen Symposium continues its roll-out of session info and speakers, this week with a focus on locals.
NZ On Air has recently begun funding to encourage more New Zealand music in local screen content. NZ On Air Head of Music Teresa Patterson will host a conversation with music supervisor Aminé Ramer (Bob Marley: One Love, Shantaram, Baby Done, Red White & Brass) and WBDITV Head of Scripted & Executive Producer Philippa Rennie, using upcoming TVNZ drama Testify (fka The Bishop) as reference.
Seven sneak peeks of upcoming titles will form part of the programme, and BSS has named three of them this week: Ant Timpson’s Bookworm; Loren Taylor’s The Moon is Upside Down, which picked up the first feature prize at Tallinn Black Nights late last year; and James Napier Robertson’s Joika.
The Big Screen Symposium runs 5-6 April in Auckland.
