Spada is proud to announce Jennifer Onyeiwu as the recipient of the 2026 Vincent Burke Scholarship.
This year’s Vincent Burke Scholarship drew an exceptionally strong pool of applicants, with fifteen emerging producers in contention.
However, Jennifer distinguished herself through the strength of her producing vision and her clear commitment to building processes and workflows that support safe, productive creative environments. The judges were particularly impressed by the quality of her work and her resourcefulness in bringing projects to life outside traditional funding pathways.
Jennifer said, “Being selected as this year’s Vincent Burke Scholarship winner is a hugely affirming moment for me. This support means I can invest in my own development and the projects on my slate right now, and strengthen the foundations of my producing career. I’m incredibly grateful to Spada for backing emerging producers and creating space for us to grow our mahi.”
Spada is proud to administer the Vincent Burke Scholarship, which supports the next generation of New Zealand producers by providing an annual $5,000 grant to help develop their projects, companies, or careers.
