BSS rolls out three more sessions

The Big Screen Symposium has announced info on three more sessions for its programme.

James Napier Robertson, the RFOs and Screen Well Australia’s Jonathon Dutton will lead the sessions.

Napier Robertson (I’m Not Harry Jensen, The Dark Horse, Whina) will present a masterclass on the craft of directing, drawing on his work to date for examples.

The RFOs will explore healthy ‘coopetition’, the best way to combine resources and achieve shared goals. This panel will discuss how and why the RFOs work together and what exactly does a well-functioning screen industry look like.

Screen Well’s Dutton will present the findings from a Screen Australia funded initiative, Breaking Down the Barriers to Job-Sharing, which involved piloting job-sharing on a Matchbox Pictures’ production. Screen Guild ED Kelly Lucas will lead a group discussion on how this could work in Aotearoa.

The Big Screen Symposium runs 5-6 April in Auckland.
