Wonka held the top spot over the weekend leading into Christmas. On 122 screens, the film added $772,546 to lift its gross to $2,379,226.
Arriving at #2 on its opening weekend, Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy drama Dunki (above) took $207,540 off 48 screens.
Next Goal Wins dropped one spot to #3, taking $110,811 off 122 screens and extending its gross to $917,449.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom opened at #8, on 99 screens, with what is presumably an extremely disappointing $64,941.
Three local titles played over the weekend. Loop Track took $126 to lift its total to $72,320. Ms. Information grew its gross to 80,641, and Uproar took $10 off 2 screens, totalling $795,244.
