Only one of the previous weekend’s top three ended another weekend on the podium and – perhaps surprisingly – it was Argylle. The action-comedy continued on 101 screens, took $173,479 and now has a gross of $646,123.
New at #2 was Amit Joshi & Aradhana Sah’s love story Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, opening on 28 screens and taking $138,929.
At #3, Robert Connolly’s Force of Nature: The Dry 2 opened on 106 screens, taking $96,323 for a total $145,042.
Taika Waititi’s Next Goal Wins was the only Kiwi-related film still in cinemas over the weekend, extending its gross take to $1,344,772.
Opening this week are a couple of lurve-themed titles, Bob Marley: One Love (not to be comfused with One Love: Bob Marley) and Annie Goldson’s Red Mole: A Romance.
