HBO Max has announced its plans, pricing and promos ahead of its launch here on 16 June.
Having clawed back plenty of content from Sky, HBO Max will now be the only place to see HBO and Max Original series, including House of the Dragon, DC Studios’ Lanterns, and (come Xmas) the reimagining of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Plenty of HBO’s high-profile and award-winning titles will be in the mix from the word go, including features One Battle After Another and Sinners, recent series including The Last of Us, The White Lotus, Euphoria and The Pitt, plus old favourites including Friends, The Big Bang Theory and Rick and Morty.
Both plans HBO is offering are ad-free, with promo pricing available until 16 July.
The Standard Plan ($10.99/month for 6 months then $15.99/month, or $109.99 for the first year then $159.99/year) allows two devices in use simultaneously, 1080p resolution and up to 30 downloads to watch offline.
The Premium Plan ($15.99/month for 6 months, then $20.99/month, or $159.99 for the first year then $209.99/year) allows four devicesin use simultaneously, 4K resolution and with Dolby Atmos sound, and up to 100 downloads to watch offline.
HBO Max will stream on phones, tablets, computers, TVs, streaming players and game consoles.
