NZ Box Office Report: 15 February 2026

Two new arrivals took the top two spots over the weekend. Despite some damning reviews, Wuthering Heights took $689,572 from 115 screens and ended the weekend in the #1 spot.

Crime 101 played on 90 screens, earning $214,347 and placing second.

Shelter dropped for #1 to #3, ending Sunday with $112,319 in earnings from 80 screens, for $348,212.

Avatar: Fire and Ash stepped out of the top three, ending the weekend at #4, playing 65 screens and adding $109,030 for a gross of $11,387,900.

Taratoa Stappard’s Mārama opened on 58 screens, taking $71,353 for $86,184 including previews.

Anchor Me: The Don McGlashan Story closed the weekend at #28, adding $3,409 from 17 screens, for a gross to date of $144,723. Also on 17 screens, Not Only Fred Dagg earned $3,335 to place at #30 and grow its gross to $454,585.

Pike River a single screen, adding $288 for a total of $1,442,783.

Arrivals this week include Sony’s animated family feature Goat, and British manor-house crime spoof Fackham Hall, featuring Thomasin McKenzie.
