Tinā continued to hit the high notes with another strong weekend, passing $3.5 million as it took $470,927 from 125 screens.
Despite being mired in controversy, Disney’s Snow White opened here on 105 screens and took $393,289 to place at #2, with a gross including previews of $422,250.
Down one spot to #3, Mickey 17 added $114,868 off 95 screens over the weekend for a take that now totals $761,050.
James Ashcroft’s The Rule of Jenny Pen opened on 55 screens, and ended the weekend at #8. It took $15,824, for $25,694 including previews.
Moana 2 was down to 19 screens, and took $1,860 over the weekend to lift its gross to $10,190,377.
Playing on 8 screens, The Haka Party Incident added $265 for a total of $112,922.
Among this week’s openers is A Working Man, led by Jason Statham in a cast that also includes another Brit who’s shot here, Jason Flemyng (Ka Whawhai Tonu).
