The top three saw only one change over the weekend. Moana 2 remained in the top spot, on 123 screens, adding $780,075 to push its gross to $6,486,112.
At #2, Wicked also held steady. On 113 screens, it took $378,234 to push past $4 million for a gross of $4,039,571.
Kraven The Hunter was the top three’s newcomer, playing 86 screens and earning $141,499.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim opened on 93 screens, and placed at #5 with takings of $111,473.
Lee has slowed, taking $9,031 for a total $1,093,340.
Never Look Away added $2,196 for a gross take of $114,564.
Taki Rua Theatre – Breaking Barriers played 2 screens and took $342 to total $3,108. Head South added $337 for a total $20,433. Gut Instinct took $186, for a total take of $2,718. Sharko took $16 and has now grossed $18,038.
Moana gets some competition this coming weekend, with Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King opening on Thursday.
