News that blockbuster film-maker James Cameron is moving the epicentre of his Avatar visual effects team from Hollywood to Wellywood is being met with glee from a restaurateur hoping the blue race will spell the end of gloomy hospitality days.
According to Women in Film and Television (WIFT NZ), 880 Productions is in charge of making Cameron’s Avatar film sequels and “it has become clear that James Cameron wants to spend more and more time in New Zealand and have more and more departments working out of Wellington”.
