New Zealand Film Commission braces for funding cuts in new year as roles consolidate

New Zealand Film Commission (NZFC) is braced for funding cuts in the new year with head count already consolidating.

The Commission has been advised that the lottery fund from which it receives funding will change how it allocates lottery profits. It is understood that NZFC will receive NZ$21.5m (US$13.5m) this financial year and roughly the same for 2024/25, a drop of around NZ$2.1m.
