The BBC and Sky have boarded a psychological thriller from Great Southern Television, the prodco behind One Lane Bridge.
The Ridge, a 6×52’ series, is a collaboration with Scotland’s Sinner Films and France’s Oble, which is also joining as a co-producer and distributor.
Written by Alan Campbell and Jess Sayer, The Ridge has been selected for the Drama Co-Production Market & Pitching Forum at MIA in Rome, which runs this week. Philip Smith and Katia Sol are in Rome to present the project.
Smith described the show as akin to Sharp Objects and Top of the Lake, “a distinctive, character-driven show that falls within the suspense thriller sub-genre.”
