The weekend brought the rare sight of a top three all carrying the R16 sticker.
Last week’s #1, The Equalizer 3, dropped to #3. It took $200,264 off 86 screens, growing its gross to $727,215.
Taking the top spot was Indian vigilante thriller Jawan, opening on 46 screens with takings of $473,918.
Also playing its first weekend was The Nun II, on 75 screens, took $391,599 for a total of $394,202. Still on 100 screens, Barbie added $149,982 to lift its gross to $13,935,680.
Pacific Mother played 3 screens, adding $324 for $3,239. Coco Reo Maori played a single screen, adding $114 for $249,054.
