Heading towards the pointy end of its activities is this year’s edition of the Vista 48Hours competition.
Across the motu 570 teams registered for the competition this year, delivering 499 eligible films out of the mid-May shoot weekend. 162 School teams and 86 Tertiary Teams took part, with 30 individual or two-person teams taking part.
The heats are done and the city finals are ongoing, with contenders emerging for spots at the Grand Finals.
We’re lucky enough to be able to get along to the Auckland City Finals this weekend, and looking forward to seeing who comes away with bragging rights.
City Manager Alix Whittaker and Angela Cudd, Awa Puna, Chris Parker, Courtney Mayhew, Elz Carrad, Esau Allemore, Ginny Loane, Grant Major, John Gilbert, and Michelle Ang were the Auckland judges.

On Saturday 27 July, the Grand Finals will run in Wellington for the first time.
