TVNZ says social media images of an executive excursion to Los Angeles were “inappropriate”, as it reveals the full, almost $30,000 cost of the business trip amid a range of job losses, axed shows and a forecast operational loss of more than $28 million.

Three leaders – chief executive Jodi O’Donnell, chief content officer Nevak Rogers and commercial general manager Josh Wolfe – were in the United States last month on TVNZ-funded travel to the LA Screenings, a global industry event to preview upcoming top shows and meet top industry executives.
