Maybe this is happening behind closed doors, in which case opening up to the industry and the country would be a wonderful thing.

Nothing’s really changed since the Jackson / Court report in 2010 – but I’d argue you could apply the findings in that report to the entire sector (excluding gaming). It’s not just an NZFC problem. It has metastasised to all corners of the industry. Complete lack of global ambitions and a strong willingness to keep the status quo.
